This was the first day of our amazing trip! We had a blast even though it was mostly highway driving! This is going to be incredible!
We spent 2 days in Iron Mountain, Michigan. It is a nice little town with connections to Henry Ford, lumber for transporting cars and Kingsford, charcoal. The town is really split in 2, Iron Mountain and Kingsford with the total population of 16,000. We went to Pine Mountain Ski jump and hiked up the 500 stairs. It was a nice stress test!! The ski jump is one of the largest artificial ski jumps in the USA.

Wow, what a day. It was suppose to rain all day, but our luck held out. We went to Chuck's great grand parents farm. As a kid he spent his summers there, swimming, fishing and hunting. Then as an adult him and his first wife, Renee and the girls spent 7 years living there. The Farm is in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan between Iron River and Crystal Falls.
