From Nashville, we hit the road today for Virginia driving Rt. 40 to Rt. 81. The driving is easy - all interstates - but there are always places where they are working on the road, and today, we were held up for a while by an accident. We finished driving the Skyline Highway in Shenandoah National Park which continued to become Blue Ridge Parkway. The colors were not at peak, but beautiful anyway. The road through Shenandoah was just newly paved and lovely to drive, but that was not the case with the road on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The paving was in progress and has not yet gotten very far.
