... br> Today we hit the trail and took a ferry ride across the channel at Port Aransas. It was a tight fit getting the RV and tow car on the ferry.It was a short ride and then on to Brazos Bend State Park. All I can say is WOW. Named one of Americas top state parks by National Georgraphic Traveler Magazine. This park has 5,000 acres of lakes, prairies, bottomlands and hardwood forests, Driving in through the hanging Spanish Moss is wild.
It was a tough drive south to the Gulf Coast yesterday, with wind gusts hitting the RV. I pictured idle days on the beach, walks in the sand, bike rides and the sounds of the surf. Boy, was I ever wrong. The seaweed is piled so high, walking is impossible. The winds are so fierce, ridding a bike would be a sandblasting ...
... we saw a dolphin show, and the Padre Island National Seashore. Then we also had fun go-carting and mini golfing. It has been an awesome vacation. See you soon!
