We rode 70 miles on the natchez trace. It was the main thoroughfare of travel during the 1800s. There were many rolling hills, so we could cruise along pretty quickly. there are many indian mounds dating from 1-500 AD. there was a Pharr Mound and Choctaw grounds. the history here is incredible. the treaties with the indian nations were never upheld in this area of Mississippi.
