We drove about 400 miles today. A little further than we had wanted, but we relaxed when we arrived. We are in a very nice RV park, Arkadelphia RV Park. We have driven through much farmland. Soybeans, corn and now some cotton fields. Farmers are praying for dry weather and wind to dry out their fields. The MacDonalds prepared a great pulled port dinner for us and shortly after dinner a quick moving rain storm chased us inside to their roomy travel trailer where we played the game "Clue". We marveled at Barbie & Aldon's CSI approach to solving "who done it" but a lucky guess (and a bit of psychic ability), I solved the mystery first!
Friday, October 3rd - Travel from Hot Springs, AR to Jackson, MS
We arrived here on Tuesday - planning to stay only 2 nights, but when we woke up this morning to pouring rain and read some of the details about the park we were planning to go to (Millwood Landing RPI Membership Park in Ashdown, AR), we decided to just add another $12/day to the automated check-in machine here at Gulpha Gorge and stay until Monday.
