After driving up from Lake City, we spent a great weekend with Jamie and Kristen. They made a turkey dinner for us with all the trimmings and we relaxed at their house on Saturday. On Sunday we drove out to the Chickamauga Battlefield National Park, watched a video and toured the park. Fun stop at the Sears Shoe Store (holy lots of shoes) then made our way home for turkey leftovers and margaritas. Early departure tomorrow am. We'll have to save "Captain Ron" for next ...

On my way to Fort Oglethorpe, I passed a sign directing motorists to visit Cloudland Canyon State Park. I'd never heard of this park, but on further investigation I found it was quite a popular place and seemed like a really neat place to visit, do some hiking, and test out my camping gear. I was very glad I did!

That's enough I'll talk about baseball. After my late rise, I went supply shopping then met up with Lisa for a final lunch. I was very appreciative of the amazing hospitality she showed me and hope to visit her again soon. The Auburn area is a great area and I advise everyone to go see it if they ever have the opportunity.
