... It is an amazing feat.

The train journey was fantastic. It went really quickly even though we were on a train for 4 nights and 3 full days. We left at 11pm from Toronto Union Station on 19th and arrived at Vancouver Station at 10:30am on the 22nd. We had an upper berth and a lower berth and because of my age I got the lower berth which had a window. Poor Jenny was stuck up the top without a window. The beds got made up each evening and ...

... we had stayed a few days ago. We had a bit of a walk round the lake which, unlike last time, was absolutely mobbed because of the public holiday. The next stage of our Rockies tour saw us reach Banff via the Icefields Parkway. It is a very long, winding, long, winding main highway between the two towns. Just to ensure we were staying awake, a cheeky mountain goat decided to walk into the parkway and ...

    ... quite upsetting :(

We eventually arrived in Golden (which is where we were staying) and had a right palava getting into the hostel carpark and basically had to drive around town 3 times in order to figure out how to get in. Luckily for us the town was tiny and only really had one street with about 20 shops/restaurants on it.
The hostel was really nice. Very hippie/commune like though which I loved haha. It reminded us a bit of Elysium (from the ...
