Tonight we are staying outside of Aalborg. We travelled to Skagen which is located at the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula. It is a major shipping centre and fishing town. During the summer it is also a tourist town. Very quaint houses - likely many are vacation rentals. Then we headed back south to Aalborg where we will stay overnight before taking the ferry to Sweden tomorrow ...
I absolutely adore Aalborg! It is not a tourist part of Denmark by any means but it is wonderful. The people are so lovely and friendly, it is very safe and clean, the night life is great, it is beautiful and the food!...... I don't think the food gets any better than it does in Denmark!
I have been here twice already but plan on going many more times and hope, one day to go on a more permanent basis :-)

Monday morning after Lorne and Martin had left for work, we packed up and left town returning to the cycle route. Enroute a local Danish couple cycled past and we chatted for a couple of minutes as they asked about our trip. up by the smokers and so I simply just had to make myself comfy on the deck
floor. In all it was a right boring ship to say the least!!
Finally into Hirtshals and within 10 minutes I was off and on my way down
the motorway through Denmark.
