    The meals were ok.

Phil had crispy skin duck, but the the skin was not crispy and there were no carrots with the meal, as per the menu. There were no croutons in the soups, as per the menu.

Karen had fillet of fish with bones, no carrots as per menu.

Barb had vegetarians strudel which she said was ok!

We all had apple strudel for dessert and that was lovely.

... a beautiful old town on the lake. It was tricky to find somewhere to park but we decided to try the chairlift car park in Obertraun. We walked back to Hallstatt, about 40mins, and looked through town. We stopped at the Skull house where they keep old skulls that have been removed from their graves. It was strange but interesting! By time we got back to the van we unpacked our packs, cooked up some dinner and went to ...

... here. Oh well, i have to eat.

I just love walking outside to be greeted by cold crisp air, and the sun bathing your face with warmth. It was a cold start to the day, but it did warm up to the mid teens. I took a train to the Hallstatt station. From there it was a ferry ride across the Hallstatt Lake. The water is almost a mirror, but the ever so slight breeze kills the perfect reflection. Hallstatt is a very small village on the edge of the ...

... and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo known for its clarity. On our boat tour we stopped and the captain played a trumpet to demonstrate the echo. The trumpeter plays along with the returning sounds so it sounds like as many as seven players. We are heading out to Klais tomorrow. Several hours of ...

... outside of the classroom. I am a people person, and I do need the social engagement to keep me mentally fit and healthy. I became used to this new reality, wake up, go to school, eat, sleep. Repeat. This repetition created a state of depression, an acceptance of a situation that I had the power to break free from. But, I didn't. This experience occurred from November to mid December. During this time, I know who I could be, but lacked the required effort to break ...
