    ... caves.

After the cave visit we head west. We are going to ride over to the Italian border and the Soca Valley, looking for accommodation as we go.

We soon find it in the little village of Ciginj near Tolmin. The Blue House is a lovely pension run by Valentin. We are soon made comfortable and after supper at the pizza house across the road we turn in after a tiring but interesting day.

We all slowly fell in love with Slovenia, camping in the pine trees, swimming in the lake and chilling amongst the mountains. For most of the two hour/7.5km trek downhill, we had to walk sideways to keep from slipping and falling. Along the way, we tried to find grassy paths that were a bit easier to walk down, but those presented the problem of many bugs. When we finally made it to the bottom ...

... many other tourists walking along the path in both directions, making it a bit of a tight squeeze at some points. At the end of the gorge, we followed a path to view a waterfall and got some nice pictures down there before heading back to the hostel. We took a different path back then we talked to get to the gorge and this path took us through a nice forest and some more villages. Along the way we passed many pizzerias, making us a bit hungry by the time we ...
