... location in the movie as the original location is now owned by Harvard and they didn't want the tourist traffic so they gave it to some palace on the outskirts of town. We all traipsed out of the bus to get a photo and some of those keen travellers sang "I Am 16 Going on 17" Also in this location is the avenue of trees where Maria and the children rode bikes (from memory, that avenue was located beside the river in the movie, not the case in reality). Past paddocks of horses and a lot of cabbage crops. There were also many worker groups ...

It was a gloriously warm day as we began our ride at 12pm from Passau. Our butts are sore, we're feeling tired yet also so relaxed. The stretch of approx 40km we rode today was through a valley of dense forest on each side. We passed ...

... arrangements discussed. I missed out on most of the info as I kept falling asleep.
An ok dinner, and an early night.

This morning I discovered just how small a working lavatory area can be - put it this way, you need to fully disrobe before entering the cubicle. And even then you have to shove your feet into the shower stall. However, it fitted purpose, and the shower was similarly a triumph of miniaturisation. There was a ...
