Day 2 on our bikes. The ducks wake us up bright and early. We begin our ride stopping very quickly at an adorable Gasthof for a warm cup of kaffee while waiting for the ferry which didn't arrive! The sweet Austrian lady did try to tell us something... It must have been that the ferry is no longer running! So we continue on the left bank, hoping the terrain remains flat. Riding along past fisherman, tiny little villages and strawberry farms, even an old hippie, ...

... the earth ascended to the heavens? Magical! Joe Ahhhhh.. First day of riding is complete. We are now sitting atop an alfresco dining area above Schlogen bend. It was a gloriously warm day as we began our ride at 12pm from Passau. Our butts are sore, we're feeling tired yet also so relaxed. ... was first settled by the celts then the Romans etcetc... A very old settlement. We returned to the city centre and had a walking tour. We visited st Stephens church or the new church as it was only built at the turn of the last century. A very beautiful church inside with lovely stain glass windows that were saved during WWII. From their we wandered around the old town stopping for the famous Linz torte and a well known cafe. We had coffee and cake which was delicious, but ...

... this pose). It is as if everywhere we walk we see something from the movie! Naomi will just be talking during the tour and say "that's where Gretel dropped the tomato" and just keep going as if it is common fact.

We were exposed to all of the Mozart info. We saw the house he was born in and the house he lived in after he was married. I bought a bag of the real hand made Mozart candy. They have a crushed pistachio center mixed with nougat then rolled in ...
