... the centre. A lot of secondary students there, I think school maybe finishing shortly. Out onto the Danube trail along the north bank, nice easy riding on a relatively newly sealed trail. A variation of forest and farmland either side this morning with few hills. The river is busy with huge cargo barges, at least 80-100 metres long and also cruise boats. ... to our first ferry crossing point to find out "there was no ferry!" So kept heading east till we found a ferry and crossed over to the north, supposedly the better side although there are cycle paths on both sides of the Danube. A lot more cycle tourists now, a helluva lot our age or older. PM - Stopped for afternoon coffee at Feldkirchen, lovely little town right on the cycle path. Lots of cyclists, touring & road racing along the cycle path which is very safe ...

... 15 in the morning!
By 2.00 after our beer stops, we had biked the 48k to Linz, a most lovely town where we will spend the night. I’m taking a bus tour at 8.00 so if anything remarkable results, you’ll know.



Can I make it three in a row?? Tune in tomorrow.
