... school and it was funny to hear her switch between Afrikaans and speaking English with an American accent – I suppose a bit like me with an Australian accent! ... actually quite a good runner, and the race he was doing was a 5 km run through the city of West Chester. Since we lived about a block away from the starting line, we had plenty of time to get ready for the race.

As we headed to the starting line, we couldn't see any other contestants there and the staff girl told us the race had actually started 2-3 minutes ago!

For a 5 kilometer run, 2-3 minutes is a lot... I think ...
