Weather: Lovely, warm, sunny.
The plan for today was some preparation for Sue's birthday party here on Sunday afternoon. Sue's son Stuart came and helped put up 2 borrowed gazebos in the garden and set up tables in the conservatory. He was here for morning tea and a relaxing lunch. Checked out of the hotel, but after brief shopping, returned to hotel for luggage, coffee and start blog of yesterday. Underground train to Marylebone, then mainline train to Banbury, arriving 1.45pm. The team song is sung by a very happy bunch of blokes before another fantastic meal is served up by the local ladies. We have a few beers and a chat with our opposition players while watching the late game (played between two teams of solicitors - one side from London) playing some very ordinary cricket as the rain continues to fall. Weird bunch, these poms.
