    As I sit here with a monsoon raging for the 3rd day outside, work cancelled and most of Manila flooded, it felt like an opportune moment to catch up on my blog and reflect on the last few weeks. In celebration of the new Dubai adventure, I booked flights to visit my Uni friend Elena who has been living in KL for the past few years.     ... is because I am a rape victim". My heart sunk. While all the girls at Tahanan have been raped, hearing this young girl so candidly speak of it tore at my heart strings. What do you say in that situation?! I was lost for words...all I managed was "You be strong Pinky and they can lock up the man so you never have to be scared of him again".     ... at the same time, in serious need of a revamp. There were also pockets of areas where there were brand new developments that were very nice i.e. massive shopping malls and new high rise business and residential complexes.

    There was so much poverty around it was unbelievable. We have seen poverty in countries such as Cambodia and Laos, but there was no infrastructure there to ...
