Loved the quiet location away from the strip and yet minutes drive to all the locations. I'm not a gambler so have nothing to say about the casino but enjoyed the rest of the stay and restaurant. Best part was getting room at ridiculously cheap rate of $25 and no resort fees..

After a stop for lunch in Henderson we headed to Hoover Dam and a tour of the Power plant. We took an elevator 530 feet down through the rock wall to begin a 30 min guided tour. I had to hand over $40 as well and we didn’t get this back or our free stuff until after the sales pitch. We were told it would be 2hrs max and we would get a free lunch as well. At 1.50pm we got picked up and driven outside of town to the Wyndham Hotel…. and here it all began!

... The lady who did makeup was so lovely, she even ingnored the fact that my children were literally having a punch up in the corner. She made me look halfway decent and actually taught me a couple of things. We headed back out onto the strip around 4pm so we could go and watch some more buskers, we watched the drum playing man again, he was so good last night and was just as good tonight ...

... did! And it was terrific … I saw down in Melbs you guys didn’t have to get up at ridiculous hours but the clouds ruined it all. Here, we had a very clear night to watch the show and we were even joined by two really fat and pretty friendly raccoons, who stopped to check out the eclipse too.

We got up on Wednesday and explored the big city of San Francisco. We spent a couple of hours at Pier 39, looking at seals and ...
