Loved the quiet location away from the strip and yet minutes drive to all the locations. I'm not a gambler so have nothing to say about the casino but enjoyed the rest of the stay and restaurant. Best part was getting room at ridiculously cheap rate of $25 and no resort fees..

... the low low price of $4500 dollars when we were all originally told a new timeshare would cost us the ridiculous price of about $27 grand. We were equally all annoyed that the whole process lasted more almost twice as long as promised. We were all DYING to get back to our original hotels. The bus ride was filled with the strongest bond that humanity has to offer: the bond created by those who were fooled into going to a terrible timeshare presentation.

Our final friendly face for that morning was the security guy who checked us out of the car hire place, who described the Americans as idiots and was again fascinated with our Britishness, describing how he likes to come to the UK to get wrecked, haha! This guy’s sense of ...

... smell was really bothering me. She eventually found us a room in the Venetian which is a similar but even nicer hotel. So I quickly threw all the stuff back in bags for transfer.
Our new room has a lovely view of the pool.
The hotel is however very confusing. There is a shopping maze around a canal with a fake ceiling looking like the sky which is very beautiful. It has given me an idea for repainting our house!!

To be frank, I wouldn't have gone on this short trip if I'd had to pay for it myself. My father wanted us (he, my stepmother, my sister and myself) to go on a family trip, which we hadn't in years. This would be a trip for grown ups, for fatness, and a true waste of money all in the name of FUN! It was as though Chuckie Cheese had spread out over a few kilometers and encouraged us to get messy.

When we landed, we found our limo driver Glen ...

... Vegas right beside the Flamingo on the walkway to the Linq, the big new 'ferris wheel') that has half-price appies 3-6 pm M-F. We had big platters of appies, D's favourite, seared ahi tuna, calamari, moo shu egg rolls, garlic noodles, chicken lettuce wraps and 4 pints of beer for $51!! The Yardhouse did not disappoint...Mom was impressed!
