... the stagnant lakes. The forests have since filled in but the ponds/lakes remain testimony to what occurred here.
We rode the scooter through many miles of campground roads and neighboring country roads. We also had a great time going horseback riding at local stable. Couldn't believe the price, $15 for a 45 minute ride through a lovely forested area.
... not imagine being here in the winter, it would be a cold campus. There were a lot of parents and students getting tours. So we listened in and ended up touching the nose of Lincoln for good luck.
We went in to several stores that we don't have in Florida, but didn't end up buying anything.
Tomorrow is on to Utica, Il and Starved Rock State Park and some wonderful hiking in the canyons of the park.
... a class at the YMCA. This is the nicest YMCA we have ever seen and was loaded with people and families!!
We have been on the road 3 weeks today and are looking forward to moving on to Starved Rock State Park and getting some hiking in.
