We have covered a lot of ground today but it really dose not feel like it! We saw LOTS of Corn feilds! Not nuch more to say for today because it was really just a travel day! I have felt pretty good all day but am really felling bad now! So off to bed! P.S. The hotel is nice!

... only so many pictures of corn fields. We are in the land of Lincoln and were following the "Lincoln historic trail" all day, but with the weather and the number of miles we had to go today we only had time for a couple of stops. A little laundry, route rap, dinner and then to bed.

... keep me from using the option, but it seems like it probably isn't ultimately that much cheaper if you go it alone. Plus, border crossings make me nervous, and I can see some things from the protection of a group that I otherwise could not. We shall see if I can afford it. I have the backpack! It's a 55L Lowe Alpine in a really vibrant red color. I got a great deal... it's a $200 pack, and I got it for $90. It motivates me from the back of my closet.

Around Urbana and Champaign, we hit the 57 and took it South. The drive through Illinois seemed to take forever, for both of us. After a few hours, we came to a fork and continued on the 57 as we crossed the mighty and majestic Mississippi River into Missouri. There, we cut onto the 55 and less than an hour later, we were out of Missouri, but neither of us knew it for the first few miles.

Gestern Abend habe ich aber meinen dritten und letzten Teil abgeschlossen, so dass ich sicher bin, nächste Woche fertig zu werden. So konnte ich gestern Abend noch ruhigen Gewissens Bier trinken gehen und heute nach Chicago fahren und einen "Ferientag" einlegen. Nu sitze ich hier bei Starbucks, trinke Kaffee, höre Weihnachtsmusik und warte auf Ben - meinen Chicago-Kumpel. Hier schneit es ...

... bewundern. Da zeigen sie dann vor Publikum was sie können - und wir hatten das Glück, so eine Show zu besuchen. Gerade nach der Rundfahrt durch die Stadt habe ich schon gedacht, wie man hier in diesen moldawischen Verhältnissen auf amerikanischen Niveau wohl leben kann.
