After our night out on the town with Arlo Tom and I slept in at the Palm Garden. He did not sleep well on the side cushion and I apparently snored exceptionally loud. The vagaries of trying to maintain a sensible temperature in the room, either way too cold or hot, because the thermostat was on random. Opening the windows helped maintain the temperature but we were harassed by small no-see-m mosquitos. I had three beers and woke up with a hangover. Tom and I walked ...

There are two small islands near Ko Larn, Ko Krok and Ko Sak, but I did not get to visit them. There are places to stay on the island, but I just made it a day trip. She jumped on her motorbike and gestured ...

... exact price), we were able to stay on the island for an hour later than those who had taken the ferry. After a short boat ride we arrive, I hop off the boat and start walking up the beach when I almost trip over myself. I look down and the bottom half of my left flip flop has separated from the top half causing me to drag and almost trip every couple of steps. A few locals have stalls set up and ...

      ... to plan on that.

Once I arrived in Pattaya, I didn't know where to go; I had never heard of Jomtien Beach before. Many tuk-tuks (pronounced took-took) are lined up at the bus station; I was directed to them. One driver said Jomtien Beach was far, and pointed way down south on the map of Pattaya, but I needed to take his tuk-tuk to get part-way there, so I got in. Tuk-tuks are fun to ride in, and usually not too expensive, ...
