5 AM came too soon. Struggled out of bed and got organised so that I was downstairs ready for breakfast at 5:50 am. Oh oh. Breakfast starts at 6AM! And even worse, breakfast is not included in my room rate - even though that had been stipulated when booking.

... the beach until some savage dog started running and barking towards us, so we started to walk back. We stopped for a while, then I noticed Roscoe was down on one knee. Utterly shocked I managed to mutter out a yes, then we sat on the beach and chatted for a while.

We left the island at half three to make our way back to Bangkok for our overnight train to take us down south for the full moon party on the 17th. We knew it was going to be a long journey but there was no other way to get there.

... take it or leave it you get somewhere more remote. This was good for us because after a week on the ultra - kick back, this was just what the doctor ordered.
