      ... those of us used to flying North American carriers. Anyway, it was a short flight, and I think they had to try to make it more than an hour long.
      The Melbourne airport sure seems under-sized for an airport that handles long-haul international flights. One runway, and the domestic terminal is quite sleepy. We hopped on the city bus shuttle, which, unlike the ripoff shuttle in Sydney, was an awesome experience. We would highly recommend it for anybody traveling ...

      ... all fallen in love with this hipsters paradise - it's incredible. One of the highlights of Melbourne were the two nights out - as we decided to opt for a girls only dorm, we had the pleasant suprise of free champagne every night for an hour only - Mcg and Molerat made full use of this essential space of time, Molerat's record being a solid 8 glasses in an hour. We never said we were classy. Sydney's calling now, so we will all update in a few days. Peace ...

      ... or roadhouses, was friendly, happy to chat about the daily drive, pass on useful hints - like quick meal menus and clothes washing tips. I did not encounter one unpleasant toilet or shower block.....sure a couple were a bit dusty in the corners but, hey, it was windy. Buckets of prepared sanitisers were available in most showers so each user could mop out the shower recess before next user came in - Now that's civilised.       ... easy taking 3 desserts and a gingerbread house on a tram. Had a yummy Christmas dinner and then we all played games which were hilarious! Had some cocktails and drinks then called it a night. Got back to ours and of course I had to watch Father Christmas before bed. A good xmas day/eve. CHRITMAS MORNING!
