... American Shetlands, with foals, for the kids to ride and drive, and standard breeds to pull the buggy. The saddle riding horse was a Pinto American saddlebred. Also in the barn they had Beagle X puppies, several of which we got to cuddle. These really wanted to be picked up and yelled if you put them down again. By far, though, the best advice I can give you is to just GO! Do whatever it takes. It will be worth every penny you have to scrape together, the time off work, the exercise classes to get ready, the neighbor kid you have to bribe to water the plants and collect the mail. Stop wishing and hoping. Take the plunge! Just go. And take someone you love with you!
