Slow start today so we are going to take it easy.
Nice breakfast & relax in the lounge. We are at the start of the three gorges today so we should see some nice scenery on the way through.

We were outside the White city & about eight other boats.

Had dinner last night on board & found out it wasn't included in the package price as did a lot of other people.
Attended our ship briefing & found out what we were entitled too.
It was a great night on the river, left Chongqing around 9pm & headed down the river with all the lights of the city. Woke this morning & we have stopped at a temple on the ...

From there we went to our ship for the cruise down the river.
As soon as we got there they suggested we take an upgrade to a suite.
After looking at our original cabin we decided to spoil ourselves & take a suite.
Consequently we are now not going to India or I have to work until I am 100 years old & yes every time your turn around they charge you for something else.

... it to be a bit of a monstrosity to be honest. I can appreciate it's a feat of engineering and all that but I thought it was more of an eyesore than a tourist attraction. There were some interesting facts I suppose such as the locks they are building for ships to pass through with each lock taking 4/5 hours, yikes!
