... we
arrived on board, we discovered that more than half of the people on the cruise
had been delayed several hours in Shanghai due to weather! They eventually
arrived that evening, but had missed the museum completely. Dinner was tasty
and we ordered from 5 choices on the menu. I had a lemon sole with a lovely
sauce and Dale had some pork ribs. We dined with the Aussies from our group.

... under control! In the afternoon we met up with Chris, Jin's cousin, whom many of you met while he was getting a master's degree in the US. He's now back in China and doing an internship in Wuhan at China Construction Bank.

Our stay in Wuhan was brief but it was great to see Chris, tour the campus of Wuhan University, and look around another major Chinese city!

... the boat to visit a local school that the tour company sponsors. The elementary school was reminiscent of a prison/school architecture mix. We were greeted by all the children who were playing drums, violins, and dancing. We mingled with the children and visited a classroom until it was time to make our way back to the ship. We departed Yueyang hoping for clearer skies and water. Tomorrow we arrive at the controversial Three Gorges Dam and the Xiling ...

Shanghai and Wuhan

... dishes. Good food. Then after dinner there was the mandatory briefing on how to put on your life jacket and some general administration.
Brian and I did decide to get WiFi for the cruise and it might not always work when we are not in port, but hopefully we can keep in touch with family and maybe use Face time with our grandson and kids. FOr sure it won't work when we are going through the Three Gorges locks and in the gorge.
