... or not the place we had parked our bikes wouldn't result in them being ticketed or worse still, clamped or towed, we found somewhere to park the bikes for the night which wasn't too expensive and not too far away from the hotel.

During the evening we found an Indian Restaurant and had a nice inexpensive meal. We also visited a Russian style bar and sampled a few of their beers.

Once again we all had to wake up early! When I woke up I was shivering because it was so cold in the room. Unfortunately, I woke up with a sore throat. I think the lack of sleep is making me sick, I got 4 hours of sleep! But it was worth it haha. ... got excited when they saw a Latino club LOL. After buying some post cards we headed back to the bus and went to go check in at the Ibis hotel. At the hotel I was roommates with Kara and we shared a room. Kara slept in the bed and I slept on the couch bed and down the hall from us were the girls. I hung out in the girls’ room and then at 6pm we met some people downstairs to go walk around.

... we find an intact castle so we headed for the hills. Our navigation skills weren’t that good so we managed to do a mountain hike in search of the castle, only to find it was down the hill on the edge of the nearby suburb. We couldn’t go into the castle itself but we explored the grounds which were surrounded by acres of vineyards.

I had only vague recollections of being in Strasbourg but I thought Brian would like it because it still has a strong German influence since that poor town has been through several changes in nationalities. The German border is just across one of the rivers.
