We find ourselves stuck on a major highway on our way to return the van, so get off it, but find ourselves lost in one way roads in the suburbs, so get back on the highway. Find ourselves in sight of Great ...

A Brief History of Alaskan Transport

A travel blog entry by rodk on Jan 18, 2014

Almost overnight, the practice of dog sledding that had underpinned life in the Arctic for over 5000 years was relegated to a comparative handful of die-hard sourdoughs, and Alaskan Native communities were welded into the cash economy.
