We left home only a little later than we'd planned at 8:17 a.m. - 17 minutes has to be a record. It was hard getting out of the house because Missy wanted to come with us. We know that Biscuit and Missy saw the suitcases, saw us packing. So, Missy probably thought, "Road trip! That sounds like fun!" Then she was whimpering as we left.
We'll probably stop in Edinburg at Micky D's for breakfast.

It was great to return to work and see everyone. I also had to make it through a stack of mail and get my mind wrapped around what needed to be done first. Then, I had to teach a class that night at IU. I dare say the students did not have me at my best, but they were all very understanding and tolerant of my sleepy ...
Sometimes getting ready for a trip is harder than the trip. So, this time, on top of the laundry, the mail-stopping, the packing, I needed to add the grading of 161 personal essays by 9th grade writers. Ye-haa!
Well, the papers got graded and the grade book is closed for two weeks. Can I hear another cheer of celebration?!!!
This trip will be nice to get away but it will also be a happy ...
... did we. We took it easy. Really easy. It was nice. And lazy. Later in the day Indiana University graduate Brandon gave us a tour of IU. It's a beautiful campus. If not a little Harry Potter-esque. But Bloomington wasn't aware of Dumbledore's protege when they built their school 200 years ago, so I'll give them a pass.
After the tour we went home and ordered Aver's pizza. Aver's pizza is a local pizza shop with a ...
... I am not sure if I will return, although the offer is open, but I have grown because of my time there.
