Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

The roads are in very poor form but they have lots of road works happening and I think they are trying to fix that. Blake was a very good ...

... available, so I put in a request months ago to be waitlisted for an upgrade if a seat became available. If the upgrade cleared, then I would be charged the additional 20,000 miles for the premium seat.

“We are not yet able to confirm your request for an upgrade on your flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE) to Houston, TX (IAH – Intercontinental),” according to the e-mail United sent me at 10:29 last night. “While your upgrade request will ...
