... glittering diamonds - absolutely magical. I must say this Arctic world is really captivating.
Our sledding today was essentially directly back to Kaupeinnen and the Musher's Lodge. As we arrived Milos (finally got the right spelling) blew the vuvuzela! Arriving was quite sad as it meant saying good bye to the wonderful dogs. I loved dogs before this trip but now I also respect them.

... the firewood was under 3-4 feet of snow, something I hadn't accounted for) and passed out in my hole in the ground. A couple of times in the night I woke up to brush the snow off my face and realized the sky above was in the process of being taken over by the Northern Lights. Waking up to see that is sure to be an experience I will never forget. The next morning it took an hour to get my shoes on.

... from the city so that we could see the Northern Lights but unfortunately they didn't happen for us =( Still, we saw some amazing night sky and stars and the lights of Kiruna were actually quite pretty from afar. Thank you Ben and Wim for making us go the full crazy hike through the snow XD. Along the way I found out: just how numb my fingers could feel without falling off, animals in Kiruna have crazy weird footprints, the cross country skiing path ...
