The main reason for hitting this side of town is the EMP Museum. It was set up by Paul Allen a Microsoft founder and is a love letter to rock and roll. Very much my bag then. ... br> A first for me was going to see the Seattle Mariners play the New York Yankees at baseball at Safeco Field. It didn't convert me however - I'd much rather watch a decent game :-) Rugby or League!! Darryleen had only just arrived off her 18 hour flight so we didn't manage to sit through the whole game and trotted off early to catch some shut eye before the all important cruise to Alaska started the following day.

... tarmac buts you outside of security so you got to go through to get to connecting flights. Not sure I would say this is the best laid out airport in the world. Probably not the worst but not the best. It all was just a little confusing so I will be going early to my gate area to be safe.

While we did not venture very far from the hotel, we found Downtown Seattle pleasant, clean and safe, similar to wandering around Adelaide only less people. Walking around the waterfront (yes the main city area is adjacent to the sea) was the same. There are no waves to speak of as Seattle is on Puget Sound one of the myriad of waterways on the west ...
