We got to sleep in this morning. We decided to have breakfast at 9.00 am. This was a little different as breakfast was served to us at the table. We had fresh orange juice, fruit, breads, cheeses and bacon and eggs. Packed the car after breakfast and went for a walk through the of town. Cars are not allowed in the old city. Strolled around for an hour of so and finally left Rhien Falls around 12.00 after a quick detour to the ...

The striking part of that is, as ever, we wonder how any assistant in Newcastle would be able to react if someone came in speaking French?

I won't go on as it's very frustrating that even the so called “discounters” could make their UK prices A LOT cheaper, or we could make Tyne ...

It was a public holiday so there were many people out with their Nordic poles enjoying the forest. Of course there was a hotel and the customary gift and food shops. There was a bakery with a wood-fired oven where delicious bread was being made. Cuckoo clocks were in abundance. We continued in up the forest road initially to Baiersbronn which is a very ...

Stopped by at this city because we couldn't find anywhere to stay that was conveniently situated in between Switzerland and Cologne, hence we decided to stay in another country. The accommodation here was pretty bad, there were only bedding for 4, no wifi & the pillows were more like flat pieces of cotton. Anyways, the city ...
