... second class on Monday couldn't have been more the opposite. It was a nightmare. So the general HESS rule is that no Chinese is to be spoken during class time, only English. These kids constantly spoke Chinese throughout. When threatened with various disciplinary actions it made no difference. I exhausted all the disciplinary measures I had so far used and learnt in my other classes, and they paid no attention. One kid in particular is a trouble maker, openly disrupting class ...

... at me instead! I tell you now, that smile's going to get her out of a lot of trouble in the future! New pupil today! Sophie! At 2 years old she brought the average age of our class crashing down! ... were definitely the steaks! (some prime T-bone steaks) - because Taiwan as a whole doesn't seem to be a meat loving/eating nation, so finding good meat products anywhere is pretty difficult! Also a GIANT bag of M&M's, literally huge, we're talking a couple of kilos! Oh and Rooibos tea! For any of my South African buddies reading this, this tea we fell in love with whilst on our trip to South Africa, so coming across that here, and in bulk, has been an awesome find!

... that stands is the Fort's core that has a lookout tower giving amazing views of Anping and Tainan. The fort is a great place to visit whilst in Tainan. Plus , a really cool market surrounds the fort. The stalls are placed really closely together which make it feel like you are walking through some type of North African bazaar and the market sells some really interesting items and food.
