... everyone staying there to leave immediately. Wow well good morning world!!ha ha!!
The perve patrol show us to our new abode and it's not in a shed and has a shower and toilet inside...why the hell didn't the show us this before?! Now we feel a little stupid for not asking to be moved earlier and that they have been treated to some kind of peep show in our hut, the toilets, showers etc etc when we could have been staying somewhere ...
... aquamarine sands and we were still at leastb 100 metres from the shore!! The sun was beating down on the endless stretch of golden sand and the sea was the most fabulous colour ever!! There are no roads on these islands and therefore no vehicles...they really are like paradise!! We sit on the boat as is speeds between the 2 islands until we are almost the only ones left on the boat and the driver asks us where we want to get off...!! Where do we want to get off?! I don't know ...
Besut, Terengganu, Malaysia followingmyfeet... We met this English guy and an Australian girl at customs and we agreed to share a cab to Kota Bharu. We spent a little time time at this Malaysian mall (where we were the only foreigners) then we took a speed boat with the English guy to the beautiful Perhentian Islands. The English guy worked at a dive shop on the island and he gave us a few suggestions for places to stay. Unfortunately, all of his recommendations were fully booked. We were quite surprised because ...
Perhentian Islands, Kelantan, Malaysia dfleege... ability in the pool and his beautiful girlfriend. Ha. It was pretty funny though.... like in many underdeveloped countries people don't really learn to swim... so these guys were doggy paddling around while luc was doing the butterfly and back flips into the pool. They also couldn't believe how long Luc could hold his breath (They blamed it on too much smoking and drinking that they couldn't do the same themselves). They also really liked Luc's sunglasses and all wanted their ...

We thought he might hang around on the surface for a couple of minutes catching his breath, but in fact he glided up to the surface, momentarily poked his head out and dived straight back down. We ended up at Coral Gardens next to a deserted beach. Limbi informed us that there are rangers who are paid to seek out and collect turtle eggs which they then bury in secret locations around the islands ...
Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia 50odd... t open and the fans didn't work. We had to peel ourselves of the filthy train seats and go stand between where the two trains connected in order to get some fresh air. We were forced to alternate between standing and not dying from the heat with sitting in relevant comfort while trying to not die from heat exhaustion. Our plans were to stay in the **** border town for a couple of days so we could secure a 60 day Thailand visa rather than a 30 day one. Unfortunately ...
Perhentians, Malaysia mericanomad... waterfront and engage in some good ol' girl talk.. Or, if you're not a girl, you can always look out to the vast ocean and try to catch a glimpse of the Perhentian Islands on a clear day.. though the breakwaters might block off the view.. then you might just have to be content with the odd fishing boat floating lazily just offshore.. a lone fisherman casting his net into the water.. Hmmm ...
Kuala Besut, Malaysia gin_gy... We had drinks at a stall and ate keropok lekor and kacang rebus. This was better I thought than that long drive to Pantai Tok Bali the day before. We had a good, simple but fulfilling dinner at the nearby mamak stall. No protocol, just us. It was good by KL standards. The maggi mee goreng was well cooked and so was the other stuff. My appetite finally came back and I was so hungry and wolfed down one roti canai with the minimal amount of dhall.
Kota Bharu, Malaysia kelapa44... about 4 hours we did. And the place was luxury (in asian standards) and ended up staying on the islands for no less than 5 nights. We had a fantastic time there and saw it as our holiday....from our holiday if you get what i mean. The islands are quite abit busier than the ones we stayed at in Fiji but there was allot more to do on them. Most days were spent lazing about followed by snorkeling and then some more lazing about etc. The ...
Kota Bharu, Malaysia trio... turtle. I was too keen and dove to deep and hurt my ears. On day 3 we take the big tour which adds a stop to secret garden, a fish seeing paradise. A paradise as the guide throws in bread and they SWARM YOU , getting some great photos ! The highlight of today was seeing a huge 6 foot black tip shark, visibility was low (10 feet) so I am looking around everywhere. As I look over to the left and there he is coming right at ...
