... to Freedom exhibition, highly recommended by the guidebook, seemed totally shut. Instead we caught a local train to Sopot, slightly further north, and walked to the pier, and then along the beach, paddling in the sea. The sand was very white and fine, the day hot and sunny, and I've caught the sun!
In the evening we ate veggie food in Bioway, then wandered round the historic main town, most of which was completely rebuilt after the second world ...

... night at some local pubs! The next day I spent some time walking around outside the city. I had gotten to the top of a cathedral and are all around and saw a park I wanted to try and find. I found it eventually and to my surprise it consisted of abandoned nazi bunkers which was really cool to explore. Everything we bought was super cheap, and everything we saw was beautiful, so Gdansk, Poland is definitely somewhere I would like to return ...
