Another warm, beautiful day. Today we joined a group and went to Oliwa Cathedral located on the grounds of an old Cistercian monastery dating back to the 13th century. It houses three organs consisting of 7,876 tin and wood pipes which can imitate sounds of different instruments and natural voices. The roads in this part of Hungary are in pretty good condition, and for the most part are well sign-posted (to be fair, on our last jaunt in Hungary, we drove a lot in the dark and with our van headlights could see very little on the signs). I overtook, gave a smile at his bike, then pushed on.
Now this is when my weekend changed.
He came past me tapping his tank, ...

... despite cloudy skies and cold temperatures we ambled from street to street taking in this lovely town. It seems like everywhere we go it is festival time and today is no different. It is Sunday so it starts out quietly but then the crowds begin to come to celebrate the "Festival of the Bread" of all things, Not sure of the history behind this monumental event but there are bread stores of all descriptions displaying various ...

... is no way that some archaeologist of the future, say in another 2000 years is going to mistake this ****** bit of rock building for something the ancients have done. at best it will probably be nothing but a pile of rocks and not large ones at that compared to what the ancients seemed to have moved around with effortless ease. The Incas even less than 1000 years ago did superb workmanship on their structures fitting the rocks together so well it's often not ...
