Being in Germany means you can walk from one village to the next ... 1.2km walk and we are in the beautiful old fishing village of Vitt. The day is sunny and cafe restful as we overlook the fishing port surrounded by houses built hundreds of years ago.

The kind of ferries that ply the Baltic are not the kind you might have taken from Door County to Washington Island back in the day. These things are cruise ships made to haul cars.
