... of some sun, Richard whom we had left at Chiang Mai turned up with his mate James. We had dinner at a little noodle shop that Jie had been eyeing up all week before moving onto a Swedish bar-shack playing non-stop Abba cover versions. One Jaegerbomb and quite a few Sangssom and cokes later we were back in the noodle shop for supper before getting to bed nice and late ready for our early start the next day.

... floor is booked by a group over New Years. Bit of a drag to have to move so often, but we really like it here - and it's only their wooden bungalows that are dodgey. Have to say that I'm glad we're staying here where there is a choice of wooden vs concrete as opposed to the other places on the island where there are only wooden bungalows. Okay people, so we made it out of Bangkok alive and bused on down to Trat which took 6 hours. We first stayed on the East coast of the island looking for a place to stay for 10 days or so and worked out that the Southern tip was the best, most relaxing, quite, remote, chilled out spot.
