Today we rode on a "fall photographers special" of the famous Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We departed at 7:00am and returned at 7:30pm. Along the way we had numerous photo run-bys where we detrained and then photographed the train steaming past us.

The Last Few Days
... It was a small cowboy town back then....beautiful but not much going on. It has changed a lot since then. I think there were 5 restaurants in town then and all of them served steak. Now there are many, many more...Thai, sushi, everything. Obviously, the property has gone up in value since we didn't buy anything. Ouray
... but it is always worth it. We drove by huge ranches around Ridgeway (Ralph Lauren's ranch is nearby and his son married Lauren Bush there this weekend). Then we started up into the mountains.
