... The arches are pointy, basically everything is pointy. Cooper had done some research before our trip and found a gaming store in Metz that had Magic the Gathering so we're went to find it. After each buying a pack of French booster cards, we decided to rest in the attached game cafe and play a little round of Pack wars and have some refreshments. We saw some other stuff like a museum of Roman baths and artifacts and we got back to the train station and home again by 8:00 ...

Time to check my gear for the Iceland-Trip this summer. Because all of it is either brand new (like the trekking poles), or I haven't use it for years (the hiking boots). ... we have wandered into, colour and light abounds, really topped off the day. The only thing lacking for our boat cooked pasta meal was going to be herbs as the shop was bare, job fixed in the public herb garden at the marina, Basil in spades for us. ... easy going and like most Europeans relaxed about time. People were taking their time to order food, come serve us at our table and just casually spending time with friends on a weekday. ... new pair of pants, new tank top, a coffee, and pain au chocolat for rejuvenating the soul.

I also sought out French culture over lunch at the river-side L'Heure de la Pause restaurant. With its checkered cloths and wooden knickknacks, it looks straight out of a French country feature in an interior design magazine. Since they specializing in Alsace cuisine, I ordered flammekueche and white wine.
