Piazza Duomo 1 Florence, Tuscany, Italy, 50122, 055-219922
Florence - beautiful! Definitely the most family-oriented city in Italy that I have seen. Little kids and parents out for walks in the city center. Warning about climbing Il Duomo - the stairs get REAL narrow and steep near the top, so those who are claustrophobic are going to have big issues. Also, those who are tall...I definitely saw more than one man hit his head on the ceiling. Food is delicious, but don't get sucked into the tourist places because they will kill your wallet. Plus, there...
Florence, Italy hillmannWe caught a train from Venice to Florence knowing that when we got there, there would be no fancy hotel expecting us. We arrived excited nonetheless. We found our way down the busy narrow streets to the old part of the city that is home to its most famous attraction... the Duomo. We saw a hotel on our little city map called the Duomo so we decided to stop by and check for a place to call home for the night. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the attendant and that the price tag w...

Florence, Tuscany, Italy frdrick... the restaurant so I could get back to our hotel room and be sick in my “own” bathroom. (I know you wanted to know that!) Ugh. I had a rough few hours there before finally collapsing into bed. Murray’s better, so now I’m worse – that’s the way it always works, isn’t it?! At least maybe I’m getting a quick bug like he had, so then I don’t have to blame it on the half-glass of wine and I can give that another try soon!
Florence, Tuscany, Italy frdrick... I went into the chino to see if they have duct tape to fix it and told them what happened. After figuring out she did not have the tape and there was really no way to fix it she gave me a brand new one! I was so happy!
(This is completely random but I feel like adding it in here) - a new fruit ship just opened right next to our super market and I went in the other day to just get a pear and the guy was like "thats all your getting a pear" and I was like yeah and he ...

... a little more. luckily, molly had her handy dandy map ready and we found our way back home...but took a detour and went to a gelato shop called Grom that everybody had been raving about. so i tried it for the 1st time and it's DEFINITELY rave worthy. but the servers were talking about me in italian. i did not appreciate it. that's the 2nd night someone has looked me up and down and whispered something to someone else who then also looked me up and down and ...
Florence, Tuscany, Italy bethybags... Moving upstairs to the main kitchen (straight out of the movies)it was time to eat. The house was unbelievable with windows looking out across the valley. We were served Frittata Zucchini, Pizza, baked tomatoes, and more wine while we waited for our pasta to cook. Then we ate the pasta...Bon Appetito! Can't wait to get home and use my pasta machine! This was probably our most relaxing day in Italy! Definitely would spend another day with the Accidental Tour company!
