Resoconto.

I've been putting off this entry. Looking back at the memories and experiences - and most importantly trying to make sense of them and place them within any kind of context - seems to be a task beyond my abilities. The experiences are so varied, the lessons so many, the insights so deep, that it seems arrogant of me to try and categorise them or relay them. The journey seems ethereal now that it's ended. Or has it? India has, for all of its history, drawn those who seek to her embrace ...

Small Town, Big Reputation !

... whales breaching on the horizon caught the captain's attention. Within minutes we were about 10 km's out, and Humpback and Southern Right whales appeared around the boat in all directions. At some points, the whales were surfacing within 100 meters of the boat. All passengers had their eyes fixated on the waters horizon, hoping to catch the one awsome sight or photograph. However, it was always a ...

Dunsborough and beyond

We arrived in Dunsborough late yesterday afternoon and set up the caravan in the rain. Today the weather has cleared up but is still pretty cold (well for us anyway). This morning we set off around the town to check it out. Lots of beautiful beaches. Then we set off ...

Back through the twisty stuff..

Day Thirty-two: - Albany - Denmark - Walpole - Augusta - Margaret River Finally made it over to Margaret River (Australia's fine wine country) with a sore **** and a heavily peppered visor. The ride over was a beaut. Aussie and Gap Year followed me out of Albany and joined me for a farewell TED and a pie from the award winning pie shop in Denmark. Once I'd left the ...

A Holiday Weekend and More...

... lots of alcohol and great food - perfect! Just a shame it's time to head back in to the office... Mind you, only a two day week and then I'm off to the UK! Excellent! Tuesday night was Finals for the seasons Touch Rugby. Sadly our Boot Camp team didn't quite make it (we managed the Wooden Spoon position!) but the other team I was playing for (Moto) were in the round for 5th / 6th playoff (out of 13). I turned up a bit early and was poached by one ...

We met up with our friend Matt again made it to Giant Cave which is the largest and deepest cave in the area. It went down 83 feet ...

WA!

Sorry it's been a while since my last entry - I've found it hard to sit down and find time to actually think about what I've been doing and downloading my pics! Well... I am living with Seong a mature Korean student and Seiko a Japanese student which has been an eye opener and also very fun as I basically knew nothing about their home cultures. They've kept me busy and organised (they're so bossy!) which has been good - we went on the ...

Chocolate Factory

... fruit was left to dunk - that is where Stuart took over... and when he ran out of fruit, he used his spoon to scrap the fondu clean! Lets just say he was like the fat kid in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory who ate all the chocolate! Visit the website - I reccomend the white chocolate (we bought a bar!) www.chocolatefactory.com.au

Drive into WA countryside

An hour online is followed by a change of car (we weren't happy with the brakes on the Accent). It's replaced by Thrifty, no hassles at all, with a Sonata - big upgrade here so we're well pleased! We leave Perth before noon. We're a little bewildered about how Thrifty calculated our insurance charges but don't query them as it appears to work out cheaper!!! Great! We drive ...
