We spend the morning walking through the local streets, along the promenade and on the beach.
We pick up the car in the afternoon and head off to Cottillo on the NW corner. A pleasant fishing village that reminds us of Greek Islands.
In the evening we eat in a Tapas Restaurant which is part owned by an English man. The food is good but more expensive than most
We arrive at Puerto del Rosario at 07.00 and take a taxi to Corraleja. The apartments reception does not open until 8 am so we leave our bags in the luggage store and have a coffee in the restaurant. We report to check in and are upgraded to a seafront apartment which is great.

Fantastic. Year round sunshine. Corralejo is in the north where there is a constant breeze too.
... fruit... Lazing by the pool, we topped up our tan and I even managed to get sunburnt feet! Although cold, the pool was a welcome place to cool-off.
Soaking up every last ray of sunshine, we didn't head to dinner until 8.30pm and walked along the gorgeous water front, back to Playa Cucharas for my birthday dinner - the waiter treated me to a sparkler in my drink (just like at Valentines haha). Our last day ...
... Today we're catching the brand spanking new Edinburgh trams to the airport! What an experience, they are so fast and flash and run almost door-to-door for us. Kev is convinced that the tram bells sounds like the McDonalds beeping timers, and talks about how hungry he is the whole way!
After a 4.5 hours, we have survived the Ryan Air flight and land in the volcanic island that is Lanzarote. It is far from pretty, but an incredible landscape to look over, almost lunar like. ...
