With no cell phone and no wifi I decided to check out the town of Ocracoke, get in a beach run and swim and get on the ferry to points north. I ran for 45 mins. in the beautiful beaches, did some pull ups, ate some great food and fell asleep. Check out the restaurant video on Facebook. ... and get to talk to one of the actors in the play. We drive by Andy Griffith's driveway and notice the gate to his estate is open. It has always been closed when we drove by before. We drive to the Manteo waterfront and plan to come back here later today to walk and shop.
Art has been wanting an "all you can eat seafood" buffet since we were in California. We never found one like ...
... the whole beach to ourselves! We spend just a few minutes overlooking the ocean, happy to be here, all the way from the California Coast to the Carolina Coast!!! I thank God he has taken us safely across this whole USA!
I go to bed knowing I have a whole day to relax and enjoy the Outer Banks and Manteo tomorrow. This is going to be a vacation from our vacation. :)
... time later with two fire trucks and a crumpled car. We finally made it to the house as everyone else retuned from the beach. We’ve shoveled Red Fox out to where we can see the layer of crumbs and dirt on the seats and rugs, so hopefully Grizz can get it vacuumed before we reload at the end of the week. ... Sweetgum Swamp Trail. There was actually a fair bit of
elevation gain for so close to the ocean. We came out and followed a
power line for a short ways, then back into the forest where the swamps
were visible. We took continued straight were the trail looped and
