We stopped off for chocolate and banana waffles along the way (a specialty in Belgium) and found ourselves at a little cafe (Vero Caffe) in one of the back streets. Oh. My. God. The BEST double espresso we have had in a long time. It would rival the best places in Brisbane. ...

... are talking about a country that is famous for its beer, chocolate and waffles. I must be partially dutch because this ticks all of my boxes! I'll have to buy a new shirt after the steady drool from my mouth today dribbled onto my chest. So much wonderful food and smells! Oh the scents of fresh waffles and delicious sweets...

... where the food was presented beautifully and had the taste to match. There was only one downside to it; it was almost unbearably hot, so much so that sweat was dripping from our brows – traumatic memories of the sauna train flooded back. After our tasty meal we thought it best to head back and get some sleep at the hotel, as we were still suffering a bit from lack of sleep on the night train.

... same platform, but was running late. That train arrived when mine was supposed to leave and I followed everyone on when I should have stayed on the platform. I quickly figured out I was on the wrong train and jumped off at the second stop. Luckily, I was still in Brussels as the city has three main train stations. I was now at Brussels Nord/Noord (North) Station. I didn't want to take any more chances so I waited at the ticket counter to ask the agent which train ...
