    ... Filled the hole anyway and was good to get out of the heat for a while. I then wandered down to a church which holds the Mouth of Truth. If you tell a lie when your hand is in it it will bite your hand off. (I still have my hand don't worry) Back at the hostel I met an English couple who seemed a bit pretentious but we're nice enough.     ... Bob has now set a new record - having kept the latest one for 3 days!), And, we saw numerous incidents of the Roman attitude to (1) parking....... do it anywhere and everywhere and even sideways if you can, and (2) pedestrians..... moving target practice for Roman drivers! We even saw (and heard) a girl on a push bike abuse pedestrians that had dared to use a pedestrian crossing!

    All in all, a day to remember forever ...

    ... of the complex. Our next stop was the National Gallery of Modern Art, which took us through the Villa Borghese gardens. There wasn't any symmetry or shrubberies in the gardens, just trees grass, but I like plants so I thought it was nice anyways.
