Historical Traveler Reviews of Dubai Jumeirah Hilton
Continues to be a great hotel
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed over Christmas at the hotel. It continues to deliver high quality service despite all the upheaval surrounding the hotel. There is some noise when you are on the beach from the construction although it is minimal. Overall the food and the restaurants continue to excel. The staff are excellent. A good five star experience.
Never Again!

Not sure if the previous writer stayed at the same hotel! The hotel is basically in the middle of a 24hr building site consiting of 30 or more tower blocks. The construction is 24 hours a day and can be heard from the the hotel roon, pool and beach. There is also a thick layer of dust in the air. If you book go to the hilton web site and you will only see one picture of the outside of the hotel..ask yourself why? Ask reservation the extent of the construction and you will not get the full story. The front desk had little sympathy as I am sure they have had numerous complaints.
The Excellent Hilton Dubai
from TommyPA
My wife, 2 year old son and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at this excellent hotel. Service, food, standard or accommodation were all 5 star. The staff were superb. Yes there are construction works (I gave up counting the number of tower cranes approaching the hotel) but it did not interfere with our holiday. In walking distance of the Oasis and Ritz hotels if you fancy a change of scene. Only one gripe - no where else to walk and no local shop (get a taxi to the marina 10 mins away). Perfect place to go and relax.
Great hotel, ongoing construction nearby
from worldtraveler80
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah. Their beach area is very nice, and they have lots of watersports available. Gym is well-equipped for a great workout. Really liked the room--very new, nice finishes, felt fresh and modern and well-balanced. One of the best rooms I've had at Dubai hotels. Couple of caveats: one, Jumeirah Beach is new construction city right now. My room faced a new construction site across the street, and I could (faintly) hear construction noises in the morning. Also not the greatest view because of that. Second, a small service/convenience complaint: when I booked my hotel online, I asked for a late checkout because of my flight departure time. Called to follow up, and the hotel said it was fine. But when I arrived, the late checkout time was not honored, leading to a very long wait at the airport.
In a league of its own

Just returned from holiday in the UAE, and we decided to stay at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, simply because I wanted to try out a Hilton in the Middle East. Having read different reviews, both positive and negative, I had my doubts when making the reservation.
But I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel was fantastic!! Really first-class, and a true 5-star hotel! The staff was great: Polite, helpful and smiling 24 hours a day. The room was lovely, clean and well-equipped, with complimentary wine, mineralwater, snacks, fruit and so on. Amenities were great as well.
The wine was there mostly to apologize for any inconvenience regarding the construction going on on three sides of the hotel. Even though you can clearly see it, even from our balcony with "panoramic view of the ocean", it wasn't as bothersome as I had feared at first. The rooms are soundproof, and, turning your balconychair the right way, you have a lovely view of the hotel's private beach and the sea. But still, I guess some of the rooms may have a much worse view, so beware when making the reservation.
Besides this, the different restaurants where great, lots to choose from, and Studio 1, an informal sportsbar, is a great place to wrap up an exciting day in Dubai. Pool and beach were nice as well; try out the Club Sandwich by the poolside!
I have only great things to say about the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah. It is highly recommended, and I would dare say in a league of its own.
Hilton Building Site
from A TripAdvisor Member
We have had a client staying at the Hilton on Jumeirah Beach in Mid September. He had a 'Holiday from Hell' !
Building work is going on 24 hrs a day - on THREE SIDES of the hotel. His 'deluxe seaview room' faced directly on to a vast building site housing at least 17 cranes, a concrete mixing factory, a bus stop for the several hundred workers and their accommodation, and the subsequent choking dust and noise. The 'sea view' was off to the right of the balcony - which was needless to say not used.
He was offered another room, but that also had another view of the cranes, and was not even 'superior'.
Apparently, most of Dubai is like that at this time with the rapid development of hotels, attractions and homes.
Fantastic hotel. Great staff. Just wonderful!!

We've just returned from a fabulous weeks stay at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah. The beach is accessed at the back of the hotel, though a couple of outdoor restaurants. Lovely cigarette free sand and beautifully warm water. Lifeguard always on site. Great for kids, where the adults can have time out too. Lots of playparks and a bouncy caste.
It was just myself and my husband that went and found it was great for couples also. No grabbing sunbeds (there's plenty).
There is loads of construction going on, which didn't really spoil our enjoyment of the place. You can't really walk into the city centre as Dubai generally is designed for cars rather than pedestrians, but taxis are dead cheap.
The room was lovely and big, with generous en suite and bar facility. Nice balcony, great view! Eyes to the left you see the amazing construction going on, and eyes left you can view the luxurious Gulf. Shame I had to come home really! Scotland's the soggiest place on this planet!!
Have a great holiday!

We stayed at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah in September 2004 and I can say this is easily the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are excellent and the beds are huge and very comfortable. The hotel itself is immaculate and the facilities are top class.
We managed to eat in all six restaurants and were impressed by them all. A visit to Bice is a must. It is apparently the best Italian in Dubai. There are also some great bars. Chat to the manager at the Cubar and he will pick out the perfect cigar for you (and light it for you).
All the staff at the hotel are very professional and you couldn't fault anyone. They all make you feel very well looked after.
If you want to visit Dubai and reside in luxury at a top hotel without paying the ludicrous prices of some of the more famous hotels here, then this is the one. STAY HERE!!
Nice hotel shame about the children
from A TripAdvisor Member
My wife and I stayed at the hotel during August 2004.
Couldn't fault the service, staff or rooms. Free water in the rooms each day. The buffet breakfast was very good with every conceivable item available. One of the restaurants even had a promotion whereby we received a discount on the evening meal (which was excellent) according to our age. Our meal, including wine and drinks came to £40. Our discount was 52%. If the promotion is still on don't forget to take proof of age.
Pool was a little small for such a large hotel and so was always crowded. Early morning sorties were necessary to claim a sunbed.
Now for the moan. The executive lounge service was excellent however, despite a notice stating that children were not allowed into the lounge during happy hour (6-8 pm) the place was crawling with them. Staff were not willing to enforce the rule and so a quiet two hours was spoiled.
If you go before 2006 be prepared for extensive building work close to the hotel.

Hilton Jumeriah Beach

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday with my children aged 7 & 8 , staying at the Hilton Jumeriah. What a fantastic holiday we had. The hotel is 1st class, the staff could not do enough for you, food excellent. Everything you could ask for, great location. Plenty for the children , Childrens club, games room, baby sitters, plenty of poolside staff, beach staff, excellent water sports. I would highly recommend for all family and singles. From the moment you walk in the hotel you are made to feel special. Too many things to list - Dubai is fantastic - just switch off, relax and enjoy.
