After the third-world harshness of Saudi Arabia what a relief to arrive to real civilisation. Sitting in bed at the Dubai International transit hotel waiting for room service breakfast before falling out of bed into the gate for connection to Phuket at mid-day ... have never woken up to a plane parked outside my window before! The airport experience
Well the flight from Birmingham to Dubai went according to plan. Although getting to Birmingham airport in the storms on Thursday afternoon was a little challenging! “ Vooral als je snachts lang moet wachten ”

We hebben hier lekker gegeten. Je kan hier ook roken bij de bar, dat is wel prettig vooral als je op de luchthaven moet wachten.

“ Quality Hotel with convenience ”

I stayed in this hotel as we were transferring terminals in Dubai between Canada and Afghanistan. It is conveniently located in the middle of the airport and you don't need a travel visa to stay here. Right on top of all of the duty free shops (it's like a huge mall actually!). I think this is a very good hotel and all of the amenities were decently priced and the room was well appointed with everything you could want.
