With no avgas at my originally intended stop of Ahmedabad, India, I targeted Nagpur, India (VANP) instead. Late the night before the flight, I did get confirmation on a fuel pump being available at Nagpur to take the avgas out of the barrels and put in in the plane.

This is a much longer flight from Dubai to Nagpur than to Ahmedabad, some 1350 nm, so I planned an early start from Dubai in order to land in daylight at Nagpur- leave for the airport at ...

... after the temple took great pleasure in pointing out: ‘Here is vun man and two vimmin, here is vun man and tree vimmin, here is tree men and vun vuman’ etc, etc. We weren’t allowed to see the lingam inside the temple which was a bit of a shame but lingams were a common sight and, apart from variation in size and colour, one lingam looks much the same as another so I wasn’t too disappointed.

... my solidarity with such daring entrepeneurs, I sent a first batch of French Tourists enroute from Ranthambore to AGRA. They stopped at Fort Ramathra for lunch. Needless to say they were ecstatic. ! A fort all to themselves, received by the Baroness and the Baron at the gates. Fort Ramathra was open for business.
