We sat the night bus to marseille which was a 9hours ride. Had a good sleep and only waking up randomly before closing my eyes and going back to sleep again haha. When we were about to reach marseille, I saw the tour bus leaning really close to the van parking close to the junction. Just when I was thinking whether the bus will crash into the van, the bus scratched the van and hahaha accident !! But we got delayed and we reached our destination later than we expected. Sian. ...

Ryan Air -that could be a whole'nother blog in itself. Suffice to say we arrived Marsailes, picked up our little Citroen Picasso and started off to Antibes. My " Navigating Grasshopper " with her life saving "Tom Tom" got us there safe and sound. ... than buying a camera – No! Cameras.

So we picked our way around the old trawlers and new sports boats while watching the fishermen preparing for the next day's catch. We meandered past the deli and listened to locals ordering fromage and pate. We stood outside the bakery and breathed deeply of the bready vapours. It was horrible; before long we were back at the ship and ready for lunch - half the day wasted!

... left Video Girl with the luggage and headed to the car rental depot, a mere two kilometres away. With Marseille traffic and road conditions to travel the two kilometres would usually take thirty to forty minutes. As Battery Boy watched the road and the GPS screen he appeared to be making good time, which was indicating he only had two hundred metres until he reached his destination.

... surrounded by the rest of the town all around on the hills and valleys. There was a French prayer on a back wall which a lot of people were reading, and I was glad to be able to understand most of what it said. It made me feel more connected with the culture of that city and its people, and was a special feeling for which I was glad to have learnt a foreign language.

From the outside of the cathedral we took in the panoramic views, and took another bus back ...
