    ... in south of France, it's 30 degrees. We caught a shuttle to the township.
    The buildings are very French! Its gorgeous. We have found a nice air conditioned shopping centre and had a fun time.
    Katie had an early morning swim and had the pool to herself!
    so far so good.

    ... welcome sight, I got in and cooled off. Dinner was just a simple buffet they had set up, then early to bed after a few wines and some Cointreau. Did not see anything of Marseilles itself except very dry wasteland and pretty weeds.

    ... language of all of the students is French so it was a great way to practice along the way.

    After dinner,I went back to the hostel because we had an early start the next day.

    Marseille overall is a nice city although I wouldn’t stay there for a long time, it isn’t very clean and it is obvious it’s still a working city. It has some cool history but it wouldn’t be on a short list of places to visit again.

    ... The lineup for the valet in front of the casino as well as the couple of hotels adjacent had seemingly every base covered with Bentleys, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Rolls-Royces and many others. One particular car that got an awful lot of attention was a brilliant metallic red Ferrari with Russian license plates that was parked front and center of course.     ... Building from earlier centuries, as well as the modern facilities. In addition we drove through the commerce section housing many of the worlds banks and financial institutions etc.

    The city is generally a very clean and well cared for. There were however a surprising number of beggars on the streets. In roaming around some of the shops, my observation was that the prices are generally very high.
