Second to last full day in Europe.. sighhh.

Olivier and I went to an inlet to swim in the afternoon. Another gorgeous day. After coming back and feeding Charlotte some wonderful spinach gunk, we took a trip into Marseille, the second largest city in France next to Paris.

We first headed to Notre-Dame de le Garde, a catholic bascillia located at the highest point in Marseille. This church, seen from ...

    ... Amazing.

Once we got back and showered, the four of us (including Charlotte, their daughter) took a little stroll through town. Full of sail boats, great little restaurants flanking the seas edges, people people watching... They live in a fantasy world.. minutes away from Cassis, another fantasy world.

    Come visit France.. its gorgeous.

... at the hostel so I didn't meet anyone new to hang out with. So not much drinking or fun in Marseille unfortunately. I've observed, so far, that drinking always makes a place better lol.

Attacked the city the same way I have all the others - with my map in hand and my walking shoes on. The first thing that hit me in Marseille (yes - hit me) was the fish smell. I took the train to Marseille Saint-Charles station then the Metro to Vieux Port. You come up from the metro directly ...
