... to get to the ticket office. Well worth waiting, think my favourite part was the lovely cloisters with their central garden and an amazing view across the bay. Stopped in the way home to buy chicken for a dinner at home, sat in the courtyard for a pre dinner pastis in the lovely warm evening. We have been so lucky with the weather, warm and sunny every ...

Woke to a very misty morning, and the Port of Dinan looked entirely different. We headed off early (for us!) to catch a boat to cruise along the Rance to St Malo. The mist made the river very atmospheric, though the downside was not being able to see very clearly the very pretty villages along the way. With full tums we heaed to the supermarket and slowly wended our way home, stopping off in one of the churches to listen to someone playing the organ. ...

... The weather has been pretty good so far. We had been watching the Paris weather in the paper and it was raining almost every day for weeks. It has been mostly sunny and in the low to mid 70's so far. Knock on wood. Tomorrow, we head inland into the Loire valley for 2 nights. There are hundreds of Chateaus from the 16th to 18th century in that area. We are going to try to hit a half dozen or ...

... banks of the river has many half timbered houses and flowers everywhere. Out for dinner in the port if dinan, so just a stroll across the bridge. Highlight if my meal a plate of local seafood, the concoysters probably the best I've eaten, though not so keen on the bulos which were something like a whelk, but luckily david managed to eat them.
