... destination of St Malo on the Brittany Coast. A short detour took us to the medieval village of Josselin with its impressive castle on the river. So to St Malo...a wander down the boardwalk...seduced by a sea food restaurant, huites (oysters) and the best ever noix (scallops) and crepes suzette - a fitting finale for France! ... battles and the days of knights here in this great courtyard and up on the battlements, all dressed in their finery!

The rain suddenly poured down again outside as the black clouds rolled by, thunder rumbling. We sheltered in a doorway with a large Italian family of about 3 generations, and it was all still beautiful. The sun came out again and we continued on up the last tower - there were 5 in all - and across ...

... book ourselves a couple of camp sites in a town called Bourg-Achard. The following morning was spent getting our brake lights fixed, luckily we found a Citroen garage, unfortunately for us we didn't have the luxury of our Melbourne mechanic to do a good deal for us. That afternoon we drove further south and met up with Luke, Kate and the kids at Mont St Michel and camped for the ...
