The lake, the opera and the church

A quick trip to Switzerland
... We spent a couple of hours in Verona at the amphitheater they have, and also at the Christmas market for lunch. The amphitheater is a smaller version of the Colosseum, except that it is virtually intact. They have opera and concerts in it, especially in summer. It was quite amazing.

Beautiful...Brilliant...Bellagio
... out as much as we could all around the city including the main Marquee outside the wall. Most of these areas you needed a pass so we couldn’t get in but they were packed. They also had a large stage set up at Baluardo San Paulino with bands playing to thousands of people every night right through until about midnight …and good bands as well.

Como'V'in
... may still be there right now. After Varenna it was onto Belaggio. Quickly after stepping off the ferry we realized that we preferred varenna. Belaggio was beautiful but was filled with upidy locals and overpriced shops so we dug our heals in, went back to our roots and admired the architecture..no price on that.
