... Jacques though we may still have a chance for Corsica, so we advanced to Porto Ercoles, stayed there for 6 hour, then made our move for Bastia, Corsica. Any you know the story of weather delay in Bastia. Anyhow, we now freed from our captivity.... ... was a popular tourist attraction. The pictures don't do it justice ~ it was a hazy day yesterday.
You can see where Philippe did his cycling training along the coast. He, his father and his best friend Jean Pierre did lots of bicycling along the coast. We saw lots of motorcyclists living dangerously taking the turns at crazy speeds! Philippe has been a great driver and tour guide!

suffered through dinner and immediately afterwards located the nearest vending machine, where you can buy a huge water bottle for one euro.

After dinner we wandered around the crowed streets of Cannes and stopped for a
time to watch a band performing for Bastille Day. We had a minor incident with
the public bathrooms, which you have to pay to use, (don't ask) and then decided to walk up
to the castle to watch the fireworks ...
