... Upon our decent we saw what we believe to be the home of the original Man in the Iron Mask. He was a prisoner on the island of St Marguerite which is just off the coast of Cannes, he was also the inspiration for the story The Man In The Iron Mask written by Alexandre Dumass, (pronounced Doomar not dum ass), just a bit of Shawshank there hehe. We then headed for the boardwalk to the Med. We walked past the entertainment centre where the Cannes ...

... I discovered that my baggage was delayed in Paris. So I had to wait for it to arrive before I left the airport for Cannes.

The silver lining to this story was my flight to Paris. Delta upgraded me to International Business class. It was the best flight I have ever had! As soon as I got settled at my seat, I was offered champagne! Then I browsed a menu for my three course dinner: tomato basil soup, pan-seared cod, and an ice cream sundae. I watched Admissions ...

We ventured back into Old Town for dinner at a small bistro run by Domininc Le Stanc (a michelan star chef). Unfortunately Dominic was on holiday so his bistro was closed. We walked to bistro d'Antoine, also highly regarded. As it turns out, there must be some good travel deals on at the moment, because Antoine was ...

... minutes later, a very nice older french woman came up to me and offered me motion sickness medicine. She was very sweet, and it helped a lot. I slept the whole way back to shore, but when I was I woke up, I felt a lot better. For the next 24 hours I felt like I was still on a boat.

Note to self: never go on a catamaran trip again. If you are a boat person, it's a wonderful and relaxing experience. However, for someone like me, not so much.
