Lesson learnt was to take a taxi home as the climb back up to our apartment is horrendous. Our apartment is 170m above sea level and is less than1/2 a k from the beach. ... bearing in mind i had to
print my tickets from the machine...i arrive around 17 40, pleased I had plenty
of time, only to find the train was delayed by 40mins, at the time I was not
impressed as that meant getting to Cannes even later. It turned out that at 18
07 I was still in the queue to print my all in all, a blessing in
disguise. When I had printed out the tickets and the train finally arrived all
was well, I had missed my connection train ...

... We stumbled down the hot stones to make our way into the crystal CLEAR Mediterranean Sea. We swam around in the extra salty water until we were nice and cooled off, then returned to our chairs to rest and people watch. As we dried off in the sun, the salt from the water crystallized on our skin, leaving enough salt on one of our arms for some French fries.

... were terrible. It was the same for camp sites. Although more expensive, facilities were generally poor compared to other sites we had been on. One of the sites had 2 toilets and 2 showers (including the one for the disabled) to service about 40 people. Don’t think about it!
