    I left my hometown in Winterset, Iowa, on August 26th, which was also the day of my 23rd birthday, mainly for a poetic start. My father had planned to join me on his Victory Vegas for the first week of the trip before driving back to the farm in Iowa.     Bob and I are preparing for our two month adventure in Spain. We are attempting to hike 10k every morning and have now added another 10k in the afternoon. Along with the hikes, we have added our backpacks. The question now we are asking each other often, "Why are we doing this?" It seems silly to work this hard in retirement.
