We survived the longest day in history but not without sleeping in the hotel lobby and the grassy shade of a little park. The sun is hot and the shoes need to be comfortable because we are on our feet and moving through the busy streets of Madrid!

    5 hours later.....
This morning we woke up, had our Spanish breakfast and got on the bus for a bus tour around the city. We saw fountains and statues ...

We have a 5 hr flight to Minneapolis and the a 55 min flight to Des Moines. We paid for upgrade seating with more leg room......best $$$ I have spent. We had lots f eg room and each seat had a flip-up tv monitor with free movies or tv, which really made the 5 hr flight go by quickly.

Got in Des Moines at 11:00 pm and we were home about midnight.

What a great adventure this has been.

Since I had missed basically all of winter, I wanted to see some more snow before another 7 months of warmer weather. It was some of the best scenery on the trip.

We arrived in Denver around 6:30 and to our surprise, it was pretty flat. I never knew that Denver ...

We spent a week in Garden City UT. Kinda cold, so we mostly stayed inside and did some necessary taxes and bill pays and other administrative work. But we did take a few walks and have a picnic lunch (in the car) a couple of days at the lake. On our way to the next destination (Panora IA). Looking forward to visiting the Timms!
